Metalsmithing porn...

My hubby often catches my on the internet looking at what he calls 'metalsmithing porn'. I love to head to some of my cherished sites to oggle at metalsmithing tools and cabs.

There are so many fabulous tools and beautiful cabs to gaze upon.

(Unfortunately, business has been slow that last couple months, so indulging must be kept to a minimum. I need a fairy godmother to sprinkle some fairy dust on my etsy shop to turn my window shoppers into buyers.)

I did find an excellent tool (at an excellent price) that will definitely help during the soldering process of ring shanks to the bezel cup. I tried it out for the first time the other night, and I cannot believe I have gone two years without this glorious tool - here is a pic of her gloriousness:

I really do not need to indulge in any cabochons, but it is hard to resist when it is love at first sight. I have really started to love (and I mean LOVE) turquoise. There are so many different types of turquoise based on the mines and locations. Here is a pic of my most recent turquoise cab purchase:

These beauties are from Kingman, Arizona

That's all for now in the life of Sam...
